With the name of Simahin, or "end of summer", the Celts celebrated the last harvest and were preparing for the cold of the winter season which, unfortunately, would have brought with it many losses. The missing persons were recalled through the night festivities, with the hope that they could be reborn in spring with the return of the summer.
